Data Engineer / Backend Developer

proprty.ai Denmark Télétravail possiblePublié 13 Sept 2026

Description

**We're looking for our 4th team member!

**Do you thrive creating structure in chaos?

Would you like to be a part of shaping the data infrastructure in a growing startup?

Does your Python code run like a well oiled machine, handling massive datasets with ease?

Then proprty.ai might be just the place for you!

**The Product

**We're building an exciting product to help property owners maintain buildings in a timely, cost-effective, and sustainable manner. We integrate public and private data sources, statistical models, and AI to deliver a modern consumer grade user experience in our app.

The software we’re building includes tools for condition assessment of individual building parts on a property, gathering public data for a building portfolio overview and creating ML & AI models for predicting remaining lifespan and forecasting maintenance cost.

The product went live in 2024, and is solving real problems for real people, and there's SO many things we can do to make it even better!

**About You

**We won't pretend there's a perfect checklist, but here's who we imagine joining us:

  • You have a couple of years of professional experience building data pipelines, backend services, or similar setups.
  • You take personal pride in your work. You want your work to matter.
  • You're a startup type more than a corporate type: you prefer short decision paths over steering committees, you'd rather ask "why not?" than wait for a mandate, and you're comfortable when the answer to "who owns this?" is sometimes "you do, as of now".
  • You create structure rather than wait for it. Ambiguity doesn't paralyze you.

**About Us

**The team consists of three people, two Data Scientists and one Data Engineer, working closely with our app team of five. We’re looking for a Backend Developer/Data Engineer to join us in developing and optimizing our data pipelines, backend services, and integrations. Most of our setup is in Databricks on Azure, using Python and SQL for the tasks.

We're expanding into Norway, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland, and we need more hands on creating a globalized and scalable setup for the years to come!

**The job

**Our team is creating an analytics heavy backend both serving the development and implementation of AI & ML models, and providing foundational data for our app team.

You’ll be the second in proprty.ai in this specific area of expertise and should have at least a couple of years of experience from developing similar setups.

**Your Main Responsibilities Will Be

**

  • To evaluate and improve our tech-stack, database structure, and data flow.
  • Creating structured data using a collection of data from multiple sources.
  • Integrating new data sources in the current data flow.
  • Ensuring that data pipelines run flawlessly.
  • Connect our database and data science setup to both our frontend and external systems.
  • Develop API integrations
  • Help drive tech and AI adoption across the teams in proprty.ai

Most of the tasks above should be familiar to you.

**Location

**We're located in a beautiful historic open office space right next to Rådhuspladsen. We usually work from home on Wednesdays.

This position requires you to be in the office four days every week.

**TL;DR

**If you have opinions on creating the best data infrastructure and want to be a part of a growing team of young people on a mission to change the industry, apply now.
