Job tasks

As a Facilities Specialist, you work with operation-related issues around cable, technical house environments and radio towers in the Swedish Transport Administration's telecommunications facilities. One part of the work involves responsibility for ensuring that our facilities are built and managed correctly. You will work practically with handling optical fiber out in facilities. In the second part of the work, you are our client's representative vis-a-vis our contractors and will have responsibility for the Builder and participate in and lead regional maintenance and construction meetings. You make decisions regarding technical solutions and are helpful with technical documentation.

Qualifications

Personal characteristics

You are a problem solver with analytical ability who independently takes responsibility for driving your tasks forward, while working flexibly according to different work situations. You can communicate and collaborate with both individuals, groups and the public and also have a high level of integrity and security.

We are looking for you who have

at least a couple of years of experience working practically with optical cable and/or blown fiber systems

education with a focus on telecommunications, alternatively other education in combination with experience that we consider equivalent overall

good knowledge of Swedish, in speech and writing

valid driver's license for passenger car

It is advantageous if you have

experience of telecommunications networks, radio networks and/or radio towers and associated technical spaces, at the Swedish Transport Administration or other similar telecom operations

experience of working as e.g. construction manager or similar role in the contracting industry, where you have followed up/ensured delivery in a facility or a project

experience with CAD

optical fiber certification (CFT)
