About the position
Firda Billag Buss AS is responsible for the bus routes in Nordfjord, and we are now looking for an operations manager who will play a central role in ensuring good and efficient operations. This is a leadership position with great influence, where you will be responsible for both daily traffic management and strategic development of the Nordfjord route package.
Area of responsibility
As an operations manager, you have the overall responsibility for the route operation going as planned - from the arrangement and follow-up of drivers and equipment to good dialogue with the client Skyss. You will be a key person for quality and delivery.
The position includes personnel responsibility for the department, which consists of three employees in the administration and around 50 drivers. Together with your team, you will hire, motivate and develop your employees, and contribute to a safe and good working environment.
In addition, you will have a central role in further developing the market for commercial bus tours in Nordfjord.
Work tasks
Rent and arrange for efficient operation of bus equipment and route planning
Follow up target figures for the contract area Nordfjord
Personnel and HSE responsibility for the department
Ensure quality and continuous improvement in operations
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have relevant education and leadership experience. Experience from transport and logistics is an advantage, but not decisive - the most important thing is that you have the ability to hire and create structure in a hectic weekday.

Firda Billag Buss is a subsidiary of Firda Billag AS and Connect Bus Norge AS. The company runs on public contracts and currently has transport responsibility for local routes in Sunnfjord and Nordfjord. Here, we have ambitions for growth to enable us to win more tenders. In addition, express routes NW 431 and VY 170 run and have their own tour bus department. The company has a total of 215 employees and 205 buses. Our head office is in Førde, and here is the traffic and planning department for Sunnfjord, as well as the technical manager and day-to-day manager.
Department Nordfjord consists of two traffic managers, an operations coordinator and around 50 drivers. The Nordfjord contract is responsible for scheduled bus transport in the municipalities of Stryn, Kinn (Måløy) and Stad.
Department Førde consists of a tour bus department, two traffic controllers and a planning department. We have 117 skilled drivers who drive local routes in the area of Askvoll, Fjaler, Kinn (Florø), Sunnfjord, Hyllestad, Gulen, Solund and Sogndal (Balestrand). In addition, the department has around 50 on-call and taxi drivers.
