Do you want to be involved in strengthening information security in Vännäs municipality?

Information security is an important prerequisite for the municipality's operations to be conducted efficiently, safely and with the residents' trust in focus. Now we are looking for an information security coordinator who wants to be involved in leading, developing and coordinating Vännäs municipality's work in information security.

As an information security coordinator in the municipality of Vännäs, you have a central role in the work with the municipality-wide information security work. You work both strategically and operationally to lead, coordinate, develop and follow up the municipality's systematic information security work in close cooperation with businesses, managers, management and other key functions within the municipality.

An important part of the mission is to be a support for the municipality's operations. You help managers and employees to understand and translate information security requirements into practical work in everyday life. Through advice, training and guidance, you contribute to creating a good safety culture throughout the organisation.

The position is located in the IT department, but the information security work takes place in close cooperation with the entire organization. In the municipality of Vännäs, there is an established information security group with representatives from all administrations and companies, which gives the information security coordinator an obvious platform for cooperation, anchoring and joint development of information security work.

You also have close cooperation with the municipality's data protection officer. In addition to the municipality-wide assignment, you support the IT department's work in information security, information management, data protection and IT security.

The role includes, among other things:

lead, coordinate, develop and follow up the municipality's information security work with a focus on compliance with the cyber security act and other relevant regulations

give support, advice and guidance to our operations in information security matters

Coordinate, support and lead the municipality's information security group

develop, manage and follow up governing documents, routines and guidelines

carry out information classifications, risk analyzes and security assessments

support work with incident management and preventive security measures

plan and implement training, workshops and information efforts

follow developments in the information security area and drive improvement work

produce guidelines and information materials for intranets and internal communication channels

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

education in information security, experience of working with information security or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent

good understanding of the risks and vulnerabilities that can affect a municipal operation

good ability to translate regulations and safety requirements into practical working methods

ability to independently and in a group plan, prioritize and drive the work forward

good ability to create and manage documentation, routines and guidelines

very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing

good knowledge of English

Deserving

It is advantageous if you have:

experience of work in the information security area

experience with information classifications, risk analyses, incident management and production of governing documents

experience of project management or investigative work

Experience in developing, implementing, managing or monitoring information security management systems (LIS)

experience of municipal or other public activities

knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks, for example ISO 27001, NIS2/CSL and GDPR

Personal characteristics

Since you will collaborate/collaborate with many different businesses and organizations, it is important that you are responsive, educational and have a good ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and comprehensible way.
