About the role
In the role of mechanical designer, you work closely with our customers and development teams to develop smart, sustainable and business-oriented design solutions. An important part of the role is to act as the link between design and production to ensure that ideas and concepts become manufacturable and functional end products. The projects vary in both scope and technical content and span several industries and technology areas.
Your main duties:
Work with mechanical construction in both smaller and larger development projects.
Develop innovative technical solutions based on customers' needs and requirements.
Act as a key link between design and production to optimize design and manufacturability.
Develop models, concepts and design basis for new products and functions.
Perform strength calculations and technical analyses.
Choose suitable materials and manufacturing methods with a focus on quality, function and cost-effectiveness.
Drive and participate in continuous improvement work (Continuous Improvement) within the development and construction process.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electronics, hardware and software developers, test engineers, production and project managers, among others.
Participate throughout the entire development process, from idea and concept to finished solution and start of production.
To succeed in the role of mechanical designer, we see that you have:
At least 5 years of experience in advanced design work in Catia and/or Creo.
A civil or university engineering degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, product development or equivalent experience.
Solid experience in product development, technical construction and linking the design phase with production.
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is highly advantageous if you also have experience in:

AVEVA E3D
