We are looking for specialists in oncology for permanent senior physician positions, possibly LIS with a short expected time to become a specialist can be considered.

The cancer department is one of three departments in the clinic for diagnostics and cancer treatment. 

The cancer department is responsible for the treatment of cancer and blood diseases for the population in all of Østfold and Akershus syd. Patients and relatives expect a high level of knowledge and up-to-date treatment and diagnostics. The department strives and has goals for extensive research activities in order to be at the forefront and benefit the patients. We have access to PET CT. New treatment methods have been adopted, including digital home follow-up and user-directed follow-up.  We strive for good cooperation with the various professions and professional groups that together make up the cancer department. The same applies to our other partners internally and externally. The cancer ward currently has 26 beds distributed over a 24-hour area with 3 beds, an outpatient clinic and a center for palliative care. There are a total of 18 full-time senior doctors and 12 full-time doctors in specialisation. The subject area of ​​hematology is located in the department.

Work tasks

  • Work at the outpatient clinic and bedside post
  • Assess, treat and follow up patients in our specialist area
  • Guide and supervise doctors in specialization as well as other relevant professional groups
  • Participation in the department's teaching
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

  • Norwegian authorization as a doctor
  • Proficient in Norwegian, good oral and written communication
  • Specialist in oncology
