Are you our new assistant we are looking for?

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a personal assistant for daily activities for one of our members, a 46-year-old woman with a diagnosis of autism and intellectual disability. Our member does not speak and has visual impairment and communicates using pictures (pictograms) and body language. Routines are very important to our member.

You will support our member during her working hours on daily operations in Ängelholm. The duties consist of providing the member with support and supervision in all activities that take place in daily operations, but also being helpful with personal hygiene, toilet visits, communication and accompanying activities. The member likes music, having coffee in town and eating out. She also likes to swim and it's good if you feel safe in the water.

WHO ARE YOU?

Given the member's functional variation, it is important that you, the applicant, have a good command of the Swedish language, are direct and clear in your communication and have the ability to set boundaries.

Experience of signs as support as well as knowledge within the autism spectrum are meritorious. As an assistant, you will receive help and guidance during your training as well as at work from colleagues and relatives who are always close at hand. We wish you to take a long-term view of your work.

We see that you who are applying for this position are a responsible woman who is confident in yourself and is not afraid of challenges. Furthermore, we see that you are a self-motivated person who finds it easy to take your own initiative for what needs to be done in and around the assistance. You must also be good at cooperating with the parents/good man and with the daily operations staff and be sensitive to their way of working. We are looking for you who are positive and calm, have great patience and who want to invest in doing a good job!

You who apply must also not be allergic to fur animals as there are dogs and horses around the member.

Driving license and access to a car is a big plus. We would like for you to have experience of working as a personal assistant.

We attach great importance to personal suitability.

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse or personal assistant with experience or have other equivalent education.

The work is in Ängelholm.

The working hours are during the day on weekdays, 8-15.30. No red days. The service is for as long as the assignment lasts and is about 90%.

We use the digital scheduling and time accounting system Aiai, which means you must be computer literate.

Excerpts from the police's charge register are required to work within the area of activity according to LSS.

WHO ARE EILA?

We started our business in February 1995 in Ängelholm and now we are located in various locations in Skåne.

We are a non-profit association with no profit interest for people with different functional variations and who have the right to personal assistance according to the LSS - the Support and Service Act.

We currently have 20 members / users with different functional variations, where roughly 140 employees work in different forms of employment and several users are on their way into our business. We have a collective agreement with Kommunal. Most of the assistants are recruited "from outside", but we also have relatives who are employed as personal assistants.

EILA functions as an interest group for the members and has overall responsibility for their assistance and for all staff. Eila is connected to the collective agreement between Fremia and Kommunal.
