Do you want to be involved in health promotion and prevention work with children and young people in a business where your work really makes a difference?
Härjedalen municipality and the joint student health department need to add school nurses to Funäsdalen and Bruksvallarnas school. As a school nurse, you will have a central and important role in the school's student health work, where you as a school nurse contribute with your medical expertise. You are part of the collective student health, where together with educators and other staff in the student health team, you work cross-professionally to create the best conditions for students' health, development and learning.
Job tasks
As a school nurse, you work at individual-group and school unit level and actively contribute to the school's interprofessional forum.
The role of school nurse includes, among other things:
offer and carry out health talks, health visits and vaccinations according to national guidelines and established national basic programme.
to promote and prevent students' health, both physical, psychological and social.
available for open reception.
give guidance and consultation to the school's other staff.
collaborate continuously and in a structured manner with other professions in student health and pedagogues at the school.
collaborate with external actors and authorities.
create relationships with students and collaborate with students and guardians.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with one of the following further educations:
Specialist nursing training in health care for children (75 credits)
District nurse (75 credits)
The school nurse program (60 credits)
For the position, a B driver's license is required as you need to be able to travel by car between the schools. In case of possible employment, a register extract from the police must be presented.
