Caretaker at Montessori Mondial Kungsholmen

We are looking for an experienced, independent and relationship-building caretaker for Montessori Mondial Kungsholmen

Your profile

As a caretaker with us at Montessori Mondial Kungsholmen, you have overall responsibility for the school's premises, equipment and outdoor environment. You ensure that our physical environment is safe, functional and appropriate so that it facilitates the pedagogical work and supports the students' learning.

In your role, you are a central and visible person in the business. You provide daily service and support to both staff and students and actively contribute to a safe and pleasant school environment.

Your main duties

Operation, maintenance and premises:

Carry out simple repairs, maintenance work and preparation of premises.

Carry out regular rounds, check the school environment and proceed from and correct items on the janitor's list.

Manage furniture (inventory and moving), mail, deliveries and recycling room.

Manage seasonal tasks, e.g. closures in the event of snow and closures at the end of school.

Technology, security and systems:

Handle ongoing operational issues and provide support regarding technical equipment (copiers, projectors, sound and lighting equipment).

Responsible for the systematic fire protection work and continuously checking fire safety, including regular changes of water in the emergency storage.

Participate in security rounds and follow up on decided measures.

Contact with external parties:

Create error reports and maintain ongoing communication with property managers (SISAB), contractors and craftsmen (e.g. painters) and follow up on cases.

Relationship-building work and service:

Be a present and positive adult in the activity who builds good relationships with the students.

Participate in the school's recess activities every day at 12.20–13.00.

Attend school administration meetings.

Who are you?

To enjoy and succeed in the role, we are looking for you who are:

Experienced and technically skilled: You have good practical experience in janitorial, property maintenance or similar craft/operating work. You have a good understanding of simpler technology, lock/passer systems and property management.

Independent and orderly: You take your own initiative, structure your work well and see what needs to be done without waiting for instructions.

Solution-oriented: You are often faced with varying challenges during a working day and switch between tasks in a flexible and solution-focused way.

Relationship-building and service-oriented: You like people! You have a warm and professional approach towards children, young people, colleagues and external suppliers.
