Are you passionate about Japanese cuisine, have a sense of detail and want to learn the craft behind really good sushi? Then you could be the one we're looking for!
We are now looking for a full-time sushi apprentice (100%), starting as soon as possible - someone who is meticulous, curious and wants to develop in an environment where quality, pace and teamwork are a natural part of everyday life.
What does the role of sushi chef mean with us?
Here you get a clear picture of what the job is about:
🍣 You are responsible for the sushi preparation - from perfectly cooked and seasoned rice to fully assembled nigiri, maki and special rolls.
🔪 You work with advanced knife technology - filet and cut fish into portions with precision and respect for the raw material.
🐟 You ensure raw material quality - check the freshness of the fish, manage deliveries and follow food safety procedures.
🎨 You are responsible for the presentation - each plate must maintain a high visual standard and reflect our focus on quality.
📦 You plan and prepare for service - organize the station efficiently for a smooth workflow.
🧼 You work according to strict hygiene routines - cleanliness, structure and food safety are a matter of course.
🤝 You collaborate and lead when necessary - support apprentices and colleagues and contribute to a good atmosphere in the kitchen.
Who are we looking for? 🎯
- You have documented experience as a sushi chef. - You master rice preparation (shari), fish handling and classic sushi techniques. - You have good knowledge of food hygiene and raw material handling. - You work quickly, structured and with high precision. - You have a passion for quality and an eye for detail. - You are responsible, cooperative and thrive in a fast pace.
