Cook for Västra Klagstorp's Montessori preschool

We are looking for a committed, independent and creative chef who wants to become an important part of our preschool and contribute to the joy of eating every day.

Västra Klagstorp's Montessori preschool is located in southern Malmö, close to both the city and green areas. We are a smaller preschool with a warm, familiar and personal atmosphere. With us, there are short decision-making paths, close collaboration and a great commitment to the business. We value safety, consideration, respect and community and want to create a workplace where both children and adults thrive. We work based on Montessori pedagogy, where the child's independence, curiosity and respect for people and the environment are important parts. We also want that to be felt in our meals.

About the service

You are independently responsible for our cooking kitchen and prepare around 70 portions for children and employees every day.

You are responsible for the entire chain around the meals, from menu planning and orders to cooking, special diets, self-monitoring and follow-up of food waste.

You work economically and sustainably with the raw materials and plan the food based on quality, nutrition, variety and the business's budget. We want the food to be prepared from scratch as much as possible and that the meals arouse curiosity and joy in the children.

We are looking for you as

You must have relevant training for work in a cooking kitchen and experience of working independently in a cooking kitchen.

You must also have experience of:

special diet and allergy diet

self-control and food hygiene

menu planning

purchases and orders

economical and sustainable raw material thinking

work to reduce food waste

Experience from a preschool, school or other commercial kitchen is advantageous. As a person, you are responsible, structured, solution-oriented and creative. You have a genuine interest in food and meals and enjoy developing new dishes and introducing new flavours.
