At Selfors short-term ward we now have 2 x 100% permanent positions as nurses available, from 01.10.2026.

Selfors short-term ward is one of 4 departments at Selfors nursing home and currently consists of of 25 places for short-term and respite care.
Patients are offered a limited stay, for assessment, assessment, care, treatment, training and relief.
With us you will have an exciting working day with many different professional challenges and opportunities.
Here you will work in a team: In addition to nurses, health professionals, assistants, pupils and students, we have medical services and collaboration with rehabilitation services, home services, emergency teams and assignment office.
It is a professionally exciting department with the goal that patients should experience a purposeful stay from the moment they arrive in the department, where returning home is the focus.

Qualification requirements:

• Norwegian authorization as a nurse
• Nursing students in their last race to become authorized as a nurse by 2026 are encouraged to apply.
• Mastery of data as a work tool
• Valid police certificate upon joining, cf. The Health and Care Services Act § 5-4
• Must have a sufficient command of Norwegian orally and in writing to exercise the profession responsibly.

Job tasks will include:

• Admission and discharge of patients
• Mapping, implementation of treatment and follow-up of patients in cooperation with nursing home doctors and partners
• Perform general nursing duties, as well as ensure that nursing duties are carried out in line with current requirements for quality
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration
• Prepare action plans
• Documentation
• Nursing professional responsible
• Guidance and training of other personnel, students and apprentices
• Care and care in the last days of life
• Take care patient safety

Working hours: rotation with the option of long shifts as a voluntary scheme

Salary and working conditions are regulated by the KS collective agreement.
